There are steep slopes, tortuous curves, asphalt and cobblestones until you reach number 62 on Aprazível Street, in Santa Teresa. Then, you enter Ana Castilho's hideout, a land surrounded by greenery and panoramic views – the houses in the neighborhood, the Guanabara Bay, the Sambadrome, the Church of Penha, the clock in Central and the Serra dos Órgãos’ mountains.

More than 20 years ago, Aprazível was only the home of a chef from Minas Gerais, bought without being seen, thanks to forebodings and the drawing on a napkin. One fine day, there were already so many friends and friends of friends who crowded into the garden to taste her food, that she rented some tables and chairs in an antique shop, placed her children (the musician João Hermeto and the lawyer Pedro Hermeto) as waiters and then, suddenly she had a restaurant. Or many.
